Week 1 – Michael Chekhov Acting Technique
Saturday 28th September: Ariella Eshed
Ariella has extensive experience as a director and has worked at Lyric Hammersmith, Soho Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, King’s Head, and the Union Theatre, to name but a few. In 2005 she set up her own theatre company ‘Tik-sho-ret’, Hebrew for ‘Communication’.
In this class we’ll work on ‘Michael Chekhov techniques’ and focus on Archetypes, Tensions and, if time, Elements. Excellent for ‘building a character’.

Week 2 – Developing your On-Screen Craft
Saturday 5th October: Daniel Dresner Developing your On-Screen Craft
Daniel has a strong, no-nonsense approach to acting on screen and as well as being an accomplished actor/tutor/director is also now a ‘life coach’ helping actors develop within our overcrowded industry.
You’ll be off book, on camera and really get behind the actors’ and the characters’ thought process. Detailed work so please learn the scripts!

Week 3 – Character Acting & Improv Acting
Saturday 12th October: Christie Peto Daring Improv and Character choices
Christie is a graduate of Drama Studio London and works regularly with Dothinkdo, a leading actor development company. Her self-penned solo show ’Three’ is playing on the London Fringe Circuit.
You’ll work with some fascinating improv tools, make fresh, daring character choices and push your boundaries – an exciting and energising class, not for the nervous! You’ll be cast with a different scene partner each week.

Week 4 – Character Development for Showreel
Saturday 19th October: Sarah Preston Delving into Character/Showreel Prep
Sarah is an actor/writer and producer and has worked extensively in British TV Dramas.
After a vocal and physical warm up we’ll work on Camera on some character exercises and then prep the scenes to be shot for the following week’s Showreel filming.

Week 5 – Act and Film Showreel Scene
Saturday 26th OR Sunday 27th October: Jon Sidgwick & Sushant Nair Showreel filming in Clapham Junction
Jon is an actor of 20 years experience (Coronation Street, Eastenders, Hollyoaks, numerous stage credits (The Mousetrap, Steven Berkoff’s Oedipus & Messiah) and many feature and short films. He’ll rehearse and direct the Showreel scenes with you.
Sushant is an actor, writer, videographer, film-maker and editor. He works closely with Jon on scripts/casting and will film and edit the Show Reel scenes.
